The Brickish Association, the LEGO Users group that both Ed and I are members of, displayed models at the Manchester Museum of Science and Technology on the 27th of June. The museum is celebrating the centenary of British flight this year and Ed had the plan for him and me to build a model of a British plane for every decade. The 'fifties were represented by this beauty, the Avro Vulcan. The model has a working undercarriage, a detailed cockpit interior and an internal bomb bay with 21 bombs. Perhaps most impressive is the jet's camouflage scheme that includes a vast quantity of dark green parts -still a rare colour in LEGO elements. You can see all the planes including some by yours truly on Ed's Flickr page.
